Ocular surface disease is highly prevalent among patients presenting for cataract surgery and, when unrecognised, can significantly compromise biometric accuracy and postoperative visual outcomes. Identification and management of conditions such as dry eye disease and meibomian gland dysfunction prior to finalising IOL power calculations is therefore an essential component of modern cataract surgical planning. This talk will present a structured, evidence-based approach to preoperative ocular surface optimisation, from first-line interventions through to advanced in-office therapies, with practical guidance on establishing when the ocular surface is sufficiently stable for definitive biometry. (Level: All) Lecturer: Dr. Bita Manzouri, Ophthalmologist, Barking Havering Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Language: English The webinar is intended for eye care professionals.
